I think they are looking out for their primary fans - the students. Eleven of the 21 away games occur on days when Colgate is not in session. All thirteen home games happen when students are on campus. Furthermore, most of the home games are during the "good weather" portion of the schedule so pampered alumni aren't overly inconvenienced with stuff like, um, winter driving. But so what? All home games are streamed on the internet, for free, and many away games are, too. So, spring the 99 bucks for a Roku device, hook it up to your 60 inch 4K flat screen in your man cave and watch Colgate hockey in all its glory!

Pro tip: If spending 9 hours in Hamilton plus driving for what may be the biggest sports weekend of the year is too much, stay overnight. If the release of the hockey schedule wraps you this tightly, you need a weekend away to tailgate and have fun with family and friends.

Exactly! I can guarantee that even if the outcome doesn't go our way the night in Hamilton will be fun. Look for me, I'm the old fossil with red hair...

Oh, we will have fun, usually too much ! You know, I'm tired of these politically correct mamby pamby responses.

The schedule sucks,no matter what the reasons are, just plain horrible.

Agree, the schedule sucks. Gate Radio tried to explain why it sucks, I thought his explanation made sense even if it doesn't help said schedule. Now that we've got that out of the way, can we go downtown?

The schedule is the schedule, maybe not to everyone's liking, and all the same I would expect the schedule for the first year of the Class of 1965 Arena and Steve Riggs Rink to be better and thereby satisfactory. That's the focus of the program's future and current recruiting. Done and dusted.

And for 'Gate83... After all this moaning and groaning I am ready to go downtown. I am not gonna wait. One more look at the webcam of the new building site- next week the first steel in erected- and I am off. See you there. And we can agree to agree on the recent thread about WBB where I am confident your last post is right.

Go 'gate!

Now the only debate is: are we meeting at Hickeys or the Bluebird?
