There is no "omen" regarding the design of the Class of 1965 Arena which replaces a no-longer-fit-for-purpose Starr Rink. A solution was planned and funded, largely by the Class of 1965 that is delivering over $21 of the $38 million to build it and also accommodate offices and locker rooms for soccer and lacrosse and training rooms.

Now if you want to invest in other programs there are always opportunities to show your enthusiasm and support. I expect in the coming quarter a plan for Reid renovations and the repurposing of Starr will be ready. Pat Campolieta is the contact. I expect a resiting of locker areas and offices and a part wood part artificial surface for Starr to relieve the pressures on Huntington, Cotterell and Sanford.

I don't know about basketball continuing to "tread water" as an expectation either. Doesn't sound like an ambition that Vicky Chun or Coaches Hays-Fort and Langel would buy into, assuming you know them. I personally believe we are on the right track- 2014-2015 was a very successful season and an obvious momentum shift- and so I look forward to the upcoming seasons.

Go 'gate!
