Picks mostly just chalk from last year. FU did lose 18 starters but they are also the only team with 60 schollies and a senior schollie class.

Since Holy Cross' new AD Nate Pine hit the ground 18 mos ago, he has inflated the Crusader faithful's optimism. With all the fanfare surrounding H.C.'s schedule in coming years, it remains to be seen whether the HC brand on the field can deliver. It may turn out that the HC brand is less diminished in the future. But, methinks it will be more of a pr win. After all, losing to Harvard, Yale and BC is better for the brand than losing to Bryant, Sacred Heart and Monmouth. This year will demonstrate if they're capable of making any significant progress from year-to-year, providing some justification for the inflated expectations for the faithful, established simply by "scheduling up."

Interesting that Steffen talks about freshman pushing for time in the defensive backfield. Part about blocking punts is pretty great.

Melville and Steffen are smart, well-spoken kids. There were 4 or 5 DBs recruited. Which of these could start or make an impact?

It's hard not to like Hunt. He gives the best media interview of any head fb coach since Dunlap IMO.
