They allow makeup, they arent natural. I saw pics of a lot of the kids and a lot look more glitz then natural. AUE is a odd system cause there is no way to prepare for it. Any pageant that allow pics to count as your optional events for supreme is a sham. Stage events should mean more then pics. I do agree MD picks winners though.

glitz photos do not count. It is not a natural pageant and not advertised as one. It is toned down, h/m is acceptable, but toned down. I have gone a few times(dd has not won) but I did not think it was dishonest. It is a touch pageant to win, and no one should have gone down there thinking they had a chance. Like I always say, I could easily put dd in pageants where she would easily win with little comp. - You do know natural pics are retouched right? So they are altered. If its supposed to be facial beauty then score on that alone. I been to MD's pageants also.
