Based on this change, Miss America can be a 17-year-old in the middle of her senior year of high school. Silly! (NT) | No name (173-22-248-23.client.mchsi.com/173.22.248.23) | 14:23:24 03/07/24 Thu |

I can confirm that the age ranges on the website are wrong and are subject to change to fit the eligibility requirements stated in the contact that the cut of is indeed 28 years of age. (NT) | No name (NoHost/31.192.1.31) | 07:10:33 03/08/24 Fri |

Does anyone have any insight as to why? Curious since it was just raised why drop it down a year? (NT) | No name (NoHost/104.28.76.235) | 21:34:56 03/09/24 Sat |

I believe it was raised because of Covid that one year. (NT) | Klm (24-230-100-124-dynamic.midco.net/24.230.100.124) | 20:37:44 03/10/24 Sun |

I feel SO BAD for all the 1997 girls that thought they would have an extra year to get their dream. Has Robin communicated this to anyone during her director meetings? (NT) | No Name (NoHost/31.192.1.31) | 17:39:14 03/11/24 Mon |
- This is so wrong. They better fix that (NT) -- No name, 00:52:15 03/13/24 Wed (136-56-73-253.googlefiber.net/136.56.73.253)
- Feel bad for those women? Really---when they had how many years to compete year after year after year (and probably in multiple of border-hoping states)....they had plenty of chances. -- By now those born in 1997 should be in graduate school, working jobs and even being married., 11:32:08 03/13/24 Wed (075-128-209-206.res.spectrum.com/75.128.209.206)
- Sure, it should be the same amount of years for EVERYONE. Stop changing it over and over. What if you took time off expecting to have a certain amount of time. It’s disappointing (NT) -- No name, 12:41:50 03/13/24 Wed (136-56-73-253.googlefiber.net/136.56.73.253)
- Exactly. The 28yo extension was simply a money grab. The girls who compete at that age were typically already in the program, don't have what it takes to win, but feel they have to try 'one last time'.
*In a fair state*, if you haven't won in 2-4 state competitions, depending on the size of the state, you won't. And before you post anecdotal stories of how Susie won on her 7th try, don't. We all know the girl who is wonderful, but lacking somehow who keeps hoping she'll win, by only changing her gown. (NT) -- No name, 12:47:31 03/13/24 Wed (NoHost/104.28.104.79)
- That’s assuming everyone woman got into pageants right at 17/18. If we want to keep brining woman into pageantry we have to stop operating from those assumptions (NT) -- No name, 14:14:15 03/13/24 Wed (96-83-118-198-static.hfc.comcastbusiness.net/96.83.118.198)

Maybe the website just needs updating? (NT) | No name (109.indianapolis-10rh16rt-11rh15rt.in.dial-access.att.net/12.74.54.109) | 16:30:59 03/13/24 Wed |

I say cut the age down to 24 or 25. We don't need these 27/28 year olds who can barely win a local clogging up the state system. Unless you are in medical school you would not be able to use the scholarship at that age [if you are still using education as your eligibility]. At 28 a contestant would have 10 YEARS of competition under her belt. TBH if you can't get it done in 5 or 6 years, it's not going to happen for you.
