In reply to: well anyway, but it didn't hurt having co-hosts advocate for her and Lu Parker (SC-USA). 's message, "You actually believe all of that hogwash on "favorite" contestants they say on the telecast as if those contestants were really their favorites? It was the producers who feed them the info to help establish credibility on some (maybe not all, but some who do end up faring well or winning the pageant---just like in 1991 when the color commentators, actress Barbara Eden and former Miss USA 1970, Deborah Shelton, kept saying "Oh wow, look at Kansas"...."Kansas is really a favorite here"...on and on....and it was not just because then-Miss Kansas-USA 1991, Kelli McCarty was competing in her home state when the Miss USA pageant was held in Wichita, but the pageant wanted Kelli to win....and put that in the scripts for the commentators. Sure, maybe Patricia Southall (VA-USA 1994) would've done" on 15:15:33 03/18/24 Mon
