LOL I hated and loved the movie. I loved Peter in it, and admired David Morse, and Björk was just fabulous, but the movie... it was tormenting. I had tears in my eyes on the rail-road scene and cried my heart out when Jeff was meeting Selma in the prison... A few weeks later I decided to see the movie again, thinking it would be easier, but I was crying my heart out already on the railroad... Lars von Trier seems to want to torment people - Breaking the Waves made me feel even more bad and after hearing about the rape-scene in Dogville I decided I had seen enough of Trier.
I loved the bike-scene too, I really would like to know what Peter's father had meant with that sentence... it's from him, vT said that in the document on the making of the film.
Oh and have you seen Peter in "Windtalkers"? You can wind over everything else in that one but do watch Peter... lol his rugged outlook... eh Cheryl? :o)

yeah, i have dancer in the dark, i really enjoyed it.
i had seen one of von triers films prior, so kind of knew what to expect.
the only thing i didn't like was the actual filming.
shaky hands make me feel sick :x

Hmmm... let me think.... ehhh...
OH YEAH!!! :D :D :D Mmmmmmmm!!
Nothing could be finer than Peter Stormare all rugged... swoon! I don't mean to go on in a kind of "lustful" way here, but you started it, Minna! Seriously though, I quite prefer him all unshaven and dirty, as opposed to neat and tidy.
Still haven't seen "Dancer in the Dark" yet, but with the way I've been lately, I may need to skip that for awhile. I actually found myself crying at the cartoon "Futurama" tonight! And it's a comedy! Yeah, you are right about winding past most of the film "Windtalkers." First off, the scenes of the film didn't really match what the story was supposed to be about. The worst part is, they didn't use our Peter nearly enough. What are they thinking??? :)

Oh rumours tell that in Grimm Peter will be BALD with LONG MOUSTACHE!!!!! :D)))))))
But really, in Windtalkers, like in almost every movie, they really should have used him more. In "Mercury Rising" his part was over in a blink of an eye and even our Swede-hating criticists were angry for such waste! But in Minority Report his ...... hmmm..... entrée made his short part absolutely unforgettable!!! I still feel sick when I remember it... LOL

Rugged? Hmmm, yeah... oh yeah! It would be kind of interesting to see him bald, though. I can't imagine it right now, but it might as well suit him. Remember how gorgeous Jason Isaacs looked in Black Hawk Down, totally bald!? Some guys actually look better bald than with hair.
Dancer In The Dark is a sad and heavy movie to watch, but it is brilliant still. I bawled my eyes out when Selma got the eyeglasses of her son in her hand... ***bwaaaaaa*** It was heartbreaking!
Peter is seriously underused in Hollywood and even when he is appearing in some movie he is hidden in some minuscule role. What a waste. I wish the producers would discover him, I mean discover in a big way!!
