  Fyrae turns her head every which way to take in all the views of the city. The tallest buildings are the objects that take up the most of her interest.
  How tall is that one?
  Fern looks up into the sun for about the millionth time, shielding her eyes with a hand.
  You mean that one over there? 50 stories, I'd say. Why do you keep asking, love?
  Fyrae's wings tremble. She had grown even taller now and was just breaching seven feet.
  I like heights. Can we go up there now?
  Fern snaps her head up to stare at Fyrae for just a moment, then looks back up to the tall building.
  Your dreams are my dreams, linked. If you wish to soar the skies, then so be it.
  Fyrae nods her head once and continues to stare upwards. With a determined breath she comes out of her trance. Turning so that she is facing one of the smaller buildings on her right, the gold crouches down. With a deep breath she springs upwards, spreading her massive wings to glide over to the building's roof. Fern's heart leaps.
  You did it, love! You did it!
  Fyrae swivels her head so that her calm gaze is on Fern.
  I am not afraid. I have flown!
  Banking so that she turns to face Fern, the gold swoops into a controlled dive. Her landing is not all graceful but good for a first time. Fern strokes her Linked's side.
  You were wonderful! Just wonderful!
  Arching her head to the skies, Fyrae releases a proud bugle. Ah, what a thrilling experience flight was! When the last echo of the trumpet has died away, Fyrae speaks to Fern.
  I can carry you now. My back is strong and my paws are sure.
  Are you positive? I would be loath to injure you, love. Fern's voice is laced with worry.
  I know I can carry you just as I knew I could fly. Your dreams are my dreams as well as the other way around. The confidence in Fyrae's tone is overpowering. Fern nods, then flits her wings into motion. She hovers up and over the gold's back, coming down gently to rest on the provided space for Kilven riders. Making sure that her linked is safe, Fyrae leaps into the skies. Her golden form is no longer the roly-poly shape of a cub but sleek and powerful. Fern seems to radiate with calm happiness, feeling right where she should be upon her Kilven's back. The couple soars above the clouds and away from the city.

  Ala trailing behind, Liyri walks softly through the streets of downtown Kothia, her ears twitching at all of the noise.
  Ala, if this is what an empty city looks like, I'd hate to see a full one!
  That is very nice, lifemate, but I am hungry. I shall eat you if we do not go to that butcher's store.
  Sensing Aliyra's purpose, Ne'tethi leads the two other Vae toward the shop, where they flitter around the butcher, attracting curses and scowls. "Good sir," Aliyra apoligizes, "They do not know better. I will make them stop."
  The Vae settle down along the eaves of a roof, and chirp excitedly at eachother. "Sir," Liyri says to the butcher, "What is your best meat?"

  She walks down the now quiet streets of the city, remebering the bustle when she was here last time. The streets were bare and only a few beings passed her. Her silver kilven walked behind her, looking at the tall skyscrapers. ~Where is everyone?~ she asks, worried. ~Not many people wander the streets anymore.~ the coinshifter answers. ~Stay here for a moment.~ she says and walks into the store. She comes out a few minutes later with a full sack of something. ~I smell food! Lot's of it.~ Kymalae says. ~You said you were hungry!~ Jeleta answers. ~Let's eat.~ she says. ~Just not here, it's depressing.~ she says as they walk out of the city.

  The young girl in a forest green cloak wanders among the crowd. A breeze blows her hood back and reveals brown hair falling loosely over her shoulders. Amused hazel eyes survey the scenery. She looks up to the top of the skyscapers, shielding her eyes from the sun. A look of awe crosses her face as she studies these monstrous buildings. She just manages to look down in time to avoid running into a large Tokathe. Looking around at all the sidewalk cafes she smells the delicate aromas drifting out the open doors of the warm kitchens. When passing a small cafe her stomach started to grumble. Realizing she was hungry she decided to stop to eat. She sat down ordered a appetizing meal being eaten by a coinshifter at a neighboring table. She watched the Takathe and coinshifters walk past the small cafe down the busy street. The elderly waiter brought her food for which she thanked him kindly. Taking a bite into the juicy meat a look of pure joy crosses her face. She finishes her lunch, savoring every bite. When she finished she thanked the waiter and went to explore the city some more.

  The grey Tokathe almost dances between the crowd, tailblade refelcting the few sunbeams that reach down from between the grand skysrapers. A nudge here and a stumble there while throwing in a few excuse me's in between. It was a fine day.
  About an hour later she finds herself resting against a glass wall on the ground floor of a scyscraper, looking across an old 'homeground'. She nods her greetings towards an officer as he walks by before grabbing her gaming computer, a smug grin crossing her face.
  Life was full of games, just differently exciting to win.

  Tenji gives the waiter an ivory grin as she sits down at a table, motioninig the black Tokathe to come. She quickly orders something to eat she loks at him leave, remembering him as a more violent one than that. Her nails click as she drums the table silently, refreshing bits of her childhood while waiting.
  Once the food is brought to her she eats it quickly, more than happy to have finally been able to eat again. Sitting there, she drinks a cocktail and stares idly around herself...

  A white Tokathe wanders along, his steps almost mincing and his tail swinging jauntily behind him. He waves to the few people he knows, waves to those who toss him friendly looks, and makes his way down the winding streets. Someday, I'll walk through town and actually be headed somewhere, he muses to himself, giving a rather fiendish grin to any higher-ranking Tokathe that he sees, and that includes any pilots. Spotting a few younger Tokathe and a couple half-done Coinshifters, he muffles another impish grin and leans forward, making the switch into hunting stance effortlessly. With a low, savage snarl and absolute blankness in his bright blue eyes, he stalks a group of younglings, allowing a few strings of saliva to hang from his long fangs. The mixed group of Tokathe and Coinshifters stare at him and shuffle their feet nervously, a few backing up. Then, with an abrupt roar, Yajer springs forward with incredible speed (for a white, anyways - nothing to a grey) and to all appearances attacks, claws and blade and teeth blazing in unexplained fury. The younglings scatter in all directions, some with a panicky swipe at the Tokathe's white hide, and one even rips a small gash in Yajer's white clothing. But the little male stops, straightens back up, and grins devilishly. Well, that was fun. Wonder if anyone new is here... that I haven't scared off, that is. With a highly amused look, Yajer continues his jaunty stroll.
