I just went before the board here in NC. They have me on hold and I cannot work in nursing until I am re evaluated in 3 months. The other option was to be suspended for a year pending an investigation. I have to go through an approved rehab program and undergo urine drug screens on a random basis. I have to attend a min of 3 AA meetings a week and am followed for 3 years. In three months it will be determined if I can work again. I will not be allowed to give narcotics...even though i never had a problem with them,.....and cannot work nights...ive worked nights for 30 years...and dont do days well....oh well....If you want to work as a nurse again..do what they say...as hard as it seems.
