How is that any different from the inhumane treatment of illegal immigrants who harvest a good portion of your "humane" diet, or the unsanitary conditions in which it is processed? I really wish people like you would shut the hell up. Of course I'm not going to eat my dog, I like my dog. I have no emotional attachment, however, to my ham sandwich. You want to put animals on the same plane as humans morally? What's next, vehicular manslaughter charges for running over a squirrel? How dare you equate my delicous beef jerky with homicide, as if human beings haven't been eating animals for thousands of years. You'd think by reading what you've written that meat consumption is the greatest evil to face our society since Hitler. Give me a break, take your crusade somewhere else.
