I experienced the same thing. Removing my jockey shorts at the command of a younger sister in the presence of a bevy of gaggling young female friends and being told to 'make it work' was most difficult as to achieve what I needed required some enthusiasm on my part. I was definitely not enthused. However I could always manage enough performance to satisfy the young clapping, cheering audience. This left me a legend in the annuls of ridicule in preteen circles in our neighborhood. I traveled to and from school to jeers and whispers.
