A couple of comments. You say, "I know you have your issues, ej". Issues? In the year 2016, using the term "issues" can be very disparaging, sort of like a back-hand slap. A persons "issues" can be perfectly valid such as when discussing abuse. So, yes, I absolutely have an issue with abuse in all its forms. You then go on to say that if a parent wishes to take down her son's pants and give him a spanking that it's not illegal, that it's called corporal punishment. But then you say, "I know you don't agree so therefore if you have children you don't have to discipline them that way".

That statement is not true. I have to wonder where and/or how you came up with something like that because my comments at this site have been very clear: I am pro discipline; pro corporal punishment, to a degree; and even pro humiliation, in rare circumstances.

In the above-mentioned-example regarding the kid: the authorities in the state where I live, PA, would ask the child if he/she had mentioned potential abuse to anyone. If the kid names you you would be arrested and charges with child endangerment. It's a serious crime here for a mother to leave a child in an automobile while she goes to a store to shop, even for only a few minutes. The laws in PA are very strict now when it comes to child abuse and/or child endangerment, and you may know the reason why.

As for wishing me well in healing my own issues? I hope I never heal from the issue of protecting against abuse.
