Date Posted: 11:30:36 05/17/16 Tue In reply to: Rutten 's message, "Re: Need some opinions." on 08:38:05 05/17/16 Tue Do I have to?, or do I want to? Tough question. Speaking for myself, as for doing my neighbor's yard work and shoveling her snow for all those years it really boiled down to 'what was the right thing to do?'. She was not able to do it (but she could have tried, at least). I didn't have to do it and I didn't want to do it, I just did it. When I told her I wasn't going to be cutting "our" grass anymore she flipped-out. Then came the 2 incidents, one was my fault, and I offered to continue cutting her grass thru July. Then, out of the blue, she started inspecting my work and "suggested" penalties of 2 extra weekends for shabby-work (talk about arrogance). Then it was "suggested" I do Shirley's yard work as well. It became a game and I played along just to see how far it would go. By the time Fall came around and the grass cutting season ended I had so many penalties that it was "suggested" that I work off those penalties by cleaning their kitchens and bathrooms (and I knew that this would result in more penalties for Springtime and more grass cutting). But they always go for more. Shirley "suggested other punishments" for shabby work together with added-on penalties. The game continues.
