Hi Ms. Gertrude

Forgive me if I'm not too-too specific. I want to do the right thing but I'm also very concerned. The young woman is 31. She is divorced and her parents have disowned her in favor of a drug-addicted sister. She has a daughter, 14, who lives with her father.

You know how I feel about abuse, Ms. Gertrude, and this young woman was sexually abused multiple times when she was a teenager. I'm learning that there is also a history of mental illness, but I don't know the specifics on that.

I've met the young woman 4 or 5 times but this was before I learned any of the history. She has been trying to get help in a mental health facility and she was doing pretty well as of this past weekend. They gave her a weekend-pass and I saw her last weekend, but I have a feeling she did not return to the facility this past Monday. Its important that she take her medications. She was living on the street before she went into the facility.

I don't know how it would work out. As far as I know the subject has never been brought up to her about moving in with me, temporarily. I could only take her on for a temporary time; she may be disgusted at the thought of moving in with an older guy like myself. On the other hand, I know it can be difficult getting someone out of your house once you've invited them to stay for a while.

And so, it is a serious situation. I want to help. I'd even give her some-say on running the house as a boost of confidence, which I really think she needs, but this would be totally different than what was going on with Kathy; these circumstances are entirely different. This would not be a game.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. Take care.
