Summarizing the events of about the last 6 weeks: I wrote a letter of apology and mailed it to my neighbor, Kathy. Kathy left a message on my phone telling me that an hand written apology was insufficient; she said I would need to apologize in person and on my knees. She told me to be at her house at 3 PM sharp the next day (Sunday). She said she picked 3 PM so I could suffer the anticipation of what may or may not happen. Kathy was right, the hours went by slowly on Sunday. I was as nervous as nervous could be. I thought I might surprise her by doing something unexpected as a sign of respect to her. 3 PM, sharp, I rang her doorbell. Without even saying a word Kathy ushered me to the center of her living room. As I turned to face her I told her that I needed, wanted, to do something as a sign of respect to her. I then knelt in front of her. Just then the doorbell rang. Kathy pointed a finger at me and told me to stay exactly as I was. Kathy opened the front door and in walked 2 Women; I guessed that both were in their mid to late seventies. One of the Women - I learned her name was Shirley - looked just like Kathy; I thought they were probably sisters. The other Woman was Asian; she was tiny, with jet black hair. Both Women were very attractive, and I felt very uncomfortable on my knees in front of them. As it turned out these Women were Kathy's friends who so often parked in front of my house. Kathy introduced me as her "filthy mouthed next door neighbor; the guy who complains about you parking in front of his house". This was obviously pre-planned by Kathy. Shirley told me that she had brought a cake of soap to use on my filthy mouth; Kim, the Asian Woman, walked up to me and gave my face 4 stinging slaps. Kathy said, "Ladies, ladies, we have plenty of time for fun but my neighbor was about to show a sign of respect before you rang the doorbell".
