Date Posted: 06:17:24 04/19/16 Tue In reply to: Richard 's message, "Feminine hygiene product usage" on 10:45:07 04/18/16 Mon Richard, My experience has been similar to yours. I was also told to use panty liners to protect my pretty panties. At first I tried to protest being afraid that my sister would find out and really tease me. Mother said that if she had me wearing panties I would also wear panty liners. My sister did find out and the teasing was not too bad. Shopping was embarrassing with mother asking me, no matter if anyone was near us, what brand I wanted. I would quickly grab the closest package, and mother would remark, "You like that kind, good." I did not get 'the talk' from mother. It was not until I was married and my wife encouraging me to dress, that my wife gave me 'the talk'. This was a prelude to being told to wear pads during certain times of the month. It was embarrassing, as well as exciting, to have my wife tell me about periods and how I was to protect myself.
