Granted running up and down escalators is not the safest action for a young child, but what unsupervised six-year-old could resist? And exactly why were you able to exploit this opportunity? Because mom wasn't keeping an eye on you. There were way bigger dangers possible than those posed by the escalator. Wandering out of the store into the street. Kidnapping.
