Date Posted: 07:15:20 04/02/16 Sat In reply to: Elizabeth 's message, "Fancy dress party" on 16:19:37 12/23/15 Wed What a shame so much of this thread got lost; there were some lovely suggestions on it. In the end it came down to two choices, depending on Luke's behaviour in the run up to his big day. If he was good he could go as Hannibal (from the film that came out the year he was born). But if he was naughty then he'd be in nappies and plastic baby pants, with a romper suit I'd had made for him with a picture of him as a baby on the front. Obviously he would have been terribly embarrassed at being in nappies in front of his friends, but it wasn't simply one of his baby outfits - it was subtle enough and funny enough for his friends to think he was being a good sport and laughing at himself. As it turned out, the threat alone of having to wear nappies in front of his friends was enough to ensure exemplary behaviour, and he had a great time at his party dressed as Hannibal Lecter. But he does know I've still got that romper suit, and that I could still decide to put him into it some time. [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
