What is normal can be elusive. But clearly from the response you have received so far others experienced the same thing. So it probably is not unusual. It is likely a fetish that if not already erotically based will become so. That does not mean she likes it when being spanked by you. You probably know she does not. It is in the re-experiencing it mentally that she derives pleasure. Bottom line is that it is what it is now and she is know she is. You will not change things even if you ceased spanking altogether. As you may know, it is very difficult for a child to verbally ask for a spanking. Altho I did know one daughter that would ask her Daddy for a spanking.
Generally, the only way a child can ask for a spanking is by misbehaving. "Asking for it with flowers", as my German Mom used to put it.
My suspicion is that she didnt want to misbehave.
Have you ever heard of a toddler throwing eggs on the floor, and saying, "Bad baby!"? :-)
