Subject: Tips to help young children with their homework! 🤗🤗🤗 Author: Lucy to everyone! [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 06:44:27 01/27/23 Fri Hi everyone! 😘😘😘 If a precious child has homework (hopefully not too much) then here are some ways to encourage them to do their homework as I believe in not being too hard on children cause kids are special! 🤗🤗🤗 1. Play some music from YouTube on an iPad in the background and allow the child or teen to choose each song! 🥰🥰🥰 My younger sister is a high school drama teacher and she does this with her students on the rare occasions there is written work on a big screen projector! 🤗🤗🤗 2. Put some sweets and small pieces of candy or fruit into a bowl and let the precious child have some candy/fruit as they do their homework! 🤗🤗🤗 3. Allow the child to take some small toys with them as they do their homework! 🥰🥰🥰 I wouldn't allow mobile phones or handheld gaming devices on the table during homework as they would distract a little too much but some toys should definitely be okay for sure!  And always let the child/teen know they can play video games or have their mobile phone back later! 🤗🤗🤗 4. Never make homework time too long! 🤗🤗🤗 I personally think it is cruel when teachers give small children too much homework as I strongly believe playtime is very important for a child so please take regular breaks to encourage the child or teen to play or do something fun for 15-30 minutes as a break if they have a lot of homework instead of doing it all at once! 🤗🤗🤗 5. Let the precious child talk to you as you help them do their homework encouraging them and giving little high fives and maybe a tickle and by making the homework experience more fun the child will see it less like a boring chore! 🤗🤗🤗 6. Once the homework is all done give the precious child a small reward like a desert or if no rewards available try to do something with your precious child they like to do for example watch a cartoon they like with them or have a good look at their favourite toys and most importantly praise the precious child for trying their best and give them a hug and encourage them to have some fun now their homework is done cause childhood should be fun! 🥰🥰🥰 My precious nephew Jacob always takes his big king kong action figure and big godzilla action figure with him during homework time! 🤩🤩🤩 At least I let him do that! 🤭🤭🤭 I don't like it when kids have lots of homework cause I think childhood should be a time to learn though play and kids do enough school work in school! 🙄🙄🙄 But I might be a little biased/wrong on that cause I am a big softy who loves kids! 🤭🤭🤭 Kids are the best gift in the whole wide world! 🤗🤗🤗 God bless!
