Subject: EQL length and weight

The EQL clubs made by Tommy Armour were all 6 iron length and all the heads were 6 iron weight. The big problem was the short irons went too far. The heads were identical to the 845's. A friend of mine (6 hcp) solved the problem by using 845 7-SW and EQL 2-6. He loses about 2-3 yds on his 3 iron vs conventional length but believes more solid hits makes up for it.
