First - to NU Hoop Fan and family, please accept my condolences.

For, NU or Maine insiders, what was the deal with Barea, when he brushed up against Reed between Reed's two foul shots. He obviously said something that caused Reed to push him away. Was he just trying to cause Reed to take a technical, which Reed came close to by his reaction to what I thought was a flagrent foul?

I actually thought it was a pretty good job of officiating to defuse the situation without calling any technicals. In fact, I thought the refereeing was pretty good in general for the three games I watched yesterday, although I do think the worst call (or, non-call) of the day was the
uncalled basket interference in the Maine-NU game.

Disagree..Two sessions and jeckyl and hyde. BU/UNH they called players for sneezing. There were 10 fouls called on BU with 8:00 into the game. UNH was over the 10 player limit with 15:00 into the game. Ridiculous touch fouls bordering on the ridiculous. Paul Seymour got called for one on the press that I couldn't believe.

Game 2...

A complete reversal....Nothing is called and they let Maine and NU battle it out. Barea got Kevin Reed on a layup where you could hear the hand slap up in the stands. NO CALL. Barea fouled Jackson on an outside shot and again you can here the slap....NO CALL.

THE OFFICIATING SUCKED!!!!!
