Subject: To all you NU guys - you drive me crazy!!!!

Will you guys get together and have a meeting. I'm confused, from many different NU sources I've heard.

Barea is "All World" and was slighted by the stupid coaches.
Robinson should be second team "ALL AE" not third
Javorie is great and third team "ALL AE.
Walker leads the conference in assist/turnover ratio
Wright is tough inside
You have atleast 4 good subs
You have a great head coach and the best recruiting ass't. coach in the AE.

But yet most of probably would say say - you weren't the most underachieving team in the AE during regular season play?????

How much talent will it take for NU to become one of the top 2 teams in the conference. Or should I say how many "walk ons" does it take.

With that said remeber I was the one who said you guys would be very dangerous in the tourney, because you're so damn talented.

They should definitely be top 2 in the conference next year, battling with UVM for the title! With Marcus Barnes coming in, they will be extremely tough.

Yes, they're talented this year, but not that deep. Barea, J. Wilson, and Robinson are 3 of the more talented players in the conference. After that, the team is somewhat quesitonable. NU has the least depth of the 4 remaining teams. Davis is not having a good year, and Corn Wright is OK at the power forward slot. NU relies heavily on their top 3 guys and need all 3 to be at the top of their game.

One thing for certain, NU has got to be the most fun team in the conference to watch. I always look forward to seeing them, lots of run and gun and athletic play.

Hey Patch, who you guys playing tonight??

What will it take..

- Consistent play from another big man. As Will properly states, there's not a lot of depth there. Corn Wright is a good 10-15 minute a game guy, that's it. He's not in any shape to play because he's always got a bruise, or a bump or something that keeps him from playing regularly. After him, who do you call on? Gene Olyinik needs time to develop some fluidity with his game before he can be considered legit. I don't think one good big man, a serviceable one, and a work in progress is depth.

- Depth at the 3 position. After Javorie, who is there? Jesse Dunn - inconsistent, Aaron Davis - injured too much to rely on if you want him to play the 3.

- A consistent shooter. Davis is streaky, Barea is streaky, Wilson shouldn't be shooting a ton of 3's. That's where Mr. Barnes comes in.

That's what it will take. It's not much, but compared to the other 3 teams in the semis, they're the thinnest, and most prone to the "Bad game from a key player will kill us" bug.

Who has ever said that Everhart is the best coach in this league? I don't think I've ever said that, and as much as NUGrad and I disagree on things, I don't think he's even said that.

PLEASE tell me how this team underachieved when most people had them finishing 4-6 in the league? Explain, please.

NU Hoop Fan I respect your opinion but I dilike your remark "who do you guys play tonight".

UA is trying to achieve and until we do we can't be called underachievers.

As for lack of depth at NU - Davis (oft injured) 9.3ppg, Wright 5.1 rebs, Walker best assist/to ratio (with out him no one would touch the ball other than Barea except for ally oop passes)and Keys 1.83 steals.

I for one wished that UA could have the same talent NU has.

I do have to laugh "who you guys playing tonight" - very mature.

Sarcasm isn't playing well on the board around tournament time. That's obvious. If I offended you with my comment, I apologize.

You still haven't answered my question as to how NU underachieved?

Derrell Keys sat on the bench for 3/4 of the season. His stats are for only like 10 games, check his minutes per game. The kid only smelled the court in the URI game b/c Walker was hurt, and because of Barea's suspension. He's a good defender, but didn't do much else this year. If you take out the 3 games Barea sat, his stats are negligible.

If you want Corn Wright, you can have him... He's a big time enigma to me.

Corny gets no touches. Count the number of time Barea passes to him. Barea is a black hole. He takes it himeself or passes to Robinson or Wilson. Thats about it!!!!!

Patch... Lately your posts have been positively lucid. (thats good) You were on a roll. Then you post this. No one said most of the above....least of all about our depth. We have no bench. When a current walk on and a walk on from last year get lots of minutes you know you have no depth. Do you have an evil twin?

You complain about using walk ons - will you complain next year when your newest walk on suits up. You can't have it both ways.
