I expect younger kids to do this. Make no mistake, a spanking is a traumatic experience for a kid. Even teenagers will be in duress during and after a spanking.

That being said, I get your point. My dad used to call those things "Crying bloody murder". He used to joke about how much noise I, my brother, and my sister would make when "getting it".

I would guess that the time to worry will be when a kid does NOT cry, scream, and squirm when getting a good spanking. A spanking is supposed to be painful. It's how it works its "magic".
