My oldest daughter is 12, and my oldest son is 11. I definitely get it. It’s a hard age, and I don’t spank for everything. But it’s about respect and they need to have respect for their parents and peers. I tell them all the time: they CAN disagree with me. It’s not a crime to be upset or disagree, but rolling eyes, sassy “whatever’s”, or flat out walking away when I’m talking to them doesn’t fly. I don’t know your daughter, but I think if it’s out of disrespect, she could use a spanking. It won’t be the end of the world. Her bottom will be sore and she’ll probably be mad for a little, but with your love and compassion, and explanation - it’ll pass and she’ll come to understand.

>>>feel it shows somewhat of a lack of respect. Thanks.
