This has been a fun read, thanks for sharing this. My son at around 9 was also spanked for tracking mud into the house and for the very reason you spanked Jack.

My daughter actually when she was 15 thanked me for the way I punish her, that she was and is grateful that I spanked instead of grounding, she said spankings work and then its over. We have had some fun and interesting talks about spankings from the past, hers and her younger brother. Grace has also told me she is going to be a spanking mom like am.

I am not holding my breath waiting for my son to thank me, my son Carter won’t talk about spankings he blushes when its brought up or I am talking about it with friends or his sister. I don’t think I have even heard him say the word spank or any form of it more than a couple times, lol. He would if given a choice, choose grounding or anything but a spanking, then he would make life miserable and I would end up spanking him. But I would never give him that choice, I decide how my two are punished and it will always be a spanking as it is quick (they would disagree) and then its over.
