I know 10 spankings in a week sounds like a lot, but like I said, between 6 children, and half of them 10 yrs old and below, that number has been relatively normal in my experience. During a normal 5 day week here at home in babysitting just Chloe (10) and Julian (5), I find I have to consistently spank a few times between the two of them.

But yes, you are correct, I have given quite a few rest stop spankings over the years. I have found most years, whether on the way up or on the way back, there is at least one child that hasn't been able to behave during the long trip, even with my usual extra patience, which is when I've had to ask my husband to pull over. But a good spanking always sets things right. Most certainly for the remainder of the drive and sometimes for the remainder of the trip (depending on the age of the child).

You asked if I spanked more soundly than Jennifer, my oldest. No, not at all. She has been spanking just as soundly as myself for a good number of years now, since before either of her children were born.

Oh yes, the spoon stung a great deal for my grandson, as intended. And he made that clearly known to not only myself, but everyone else!

Mark, I did have a relaxing time. As I said before, spankings have always been part of our family vacations, but it has never prevented us from having a good time, myself included. I relaxed enough through the week. :)
