One more thing that I forgot to mention in my original response, but I also have had my share of of nylons/pantyhose ruined when I've administered a spanking. The children have caused laddering or runs either due to the desperate movement on my lap, or more often, when they have grabbed my leg when trying to hold onto anything in front of them and there is only open air (if I am spanking in a chair).

It's nothing I hold against the children and certainly have never punished extra for it. I agree completely with Cherie in "it goes with the territory" (in being a spanking Mom/Grandma). But I've long stopped purchasing more expensive hosiery (since my oldest was little) for that reason.
