I am so glad you had a great time and made it back safely. Although it sounds like not everyone had a wonderful vacation the entire time. However, as we have discussed, we have found that to be quite normal in having to spank at least a couple of times while going on vacations with the children. I know I certainly have had to do the same.

All of the spankings were very well needed and deserved. Misbehaving, and especially fighting, in the car/van has always been reason to have my husband pull into a rest stop so I can administer a well needed spanking (or spankings). Like you, I will take the child(ren) to a secluded picnic table and take care of the spanking(s).

Much like with your niece and nephew, it has always been very embarrassing for the kids (when they've reached a certain age) when I've had to spank at a rest stop, even if they aren't seen. But their embarrassment has never been been at the forefront of my concern when they've earned a spanking and have told them it was their misbehavior that put them in this position in the first place. And if they want to avoid that in the future, then all they need to do is behave.

Cherie, you handled the spanking and overall punishment with Steven exactly how I would have. With him using the Lord's name in vain would have earned a good mouth soaping here, as well and a much more serious spanking, also. And you know from reading my posts that I would have also handled it downstairs, as well, no matter whom was present. He really needed that spanking. I am certain not only the after affects of the spanking is still continuing to be an excellent reminder for him, but the taste of his soaping stayed with him for awhile, also. Good for you.
