Oh, a reclining chair works plenty well in itself on sitting on to help soothe a child (after a spanking). Any place you can sit and set them on your lap, or just lean them against you, works well. I don't always use my rocking chair, depending on where I've spanked (and how big the child is), but I just like it as I usually end up rocking them anyways while I hold them and the chair is made for it. :)

Margaret, that spanking for Jordan was well needed and deserved. I can't tell you the amount of times I had to spank one of mine in the morning before school because they either didn't want to get out of bed or got out on the wrong side of the bed (with attitude). Andy has had more than one before-school spanking, as well.

It is fortunate no PE or sport today for Jordan, but yes, I am sure he will be feeling it all day anytime he sits down (as he should). How much longer will Jordan and his sister be staying with you?
