Honestly Mary I was really upset by it and still am in some ways. Neither of the older girls have ever sworn AT me - although they’ve all sworn from time to time but I was so shocked by her behaviour. No idea where she’s picked that up from as no one else in this house would ever say something like that.

She’s apologised to me about 20 times between last night and this morning but I really don’t know what was going through her head to say that. It was almost like she needed to be spanked - who knows. Megan has always been a very sweet child who didn’t tend to get in much trouble other than standard kid stuff but the last few months it’s like she’s becoming a different person, I’m hoping it calms down soon! I remember myself getting into lots of scrapes at that age I guess, wanting to be a grown up but not quite being there yet.

I definitely think yesterday was a prime example of a time I should have just spanked sooner. I guess we want to give them the chance to work their way out of that black cloud themselves but if I had done it earlier then it wouldn’t have been as hideous.

Anyway, for today I have a very angelic little girl who is having a little difficulty sitting but keeps offering to help me with anything I’m doing so long may that continue!
