Head exploding describes it perfectly Candace! If someone had hooked me up to one of those stress level machines, I think my readings probably went through the roof at that point! Had we not been very close to home, I think I’d have stopped the car and spanked her right there in the backseat of the car, although it’s been a while since I’ve done that with any of the girls as they’re all getting a bit too tall nowadays!

Yes, when they were little and they repeated a word I wouldn’t punish for it, just simply explain it was a naughty word and not one that was allowed in our house. But once they were old enough to understand what they were saying then I will pretty much soap any time bad words are used. This was a particularly vulgar word however and with it being directed towards me, I felt warranted the harsh spanking she received.

I do remember there was one time which was kind of funny on reflection - they were all quite small I think Molly was around 8 and we were driving over to a friends house. Steve was driving and we came to a cross roads and out of nowhere a motor bike came zooming across our path despite our lights being on Green. Steve slammed the breaks on and said the S word very loudly - thankfully no one was hurt but it was very close!! He doesn’t often swear but I could see why he did in that scenario!! Molly asked me several times that day when Daddy was going to get his mouth washed out which made me chuckle! In the end he popped a bar of soap in his mouth himself so she’d let it go! He didn’t keep it in for long but he told me that night the taste had definitely brought back some horrible memories from being young!
