When the lecture stopped we usually needed only to tell them "pull down your pants and bend over my knees!"

Our girls usually compiled, even as they tried to beg their way out of the spanking with some last minute woeful pleas, and promises of better behavior. I can remember a few times when each of them simply would not bare their butt and bend over. If that happened I didn't get angry, but firmly pulled them aside of my lap, unfastened their pants or reached up under their skirt and tugged down their underwear. If they still refused to bend over it wasn't usually difficult to get them over the knees. Generally another gentle tug on the left arm and a repeat of the "bend over!" was enough.
