With the heat and hardly any rain, the vegetable garden obviously needs regular watering. Yesterday it was Marek's job. But my 11-year-old son always has a lot of nonsense in his head. Sometimes he's such a nonsense head....
He made a flood disaster out of it when I discovered it. I asked him if he was totally crazy now and that watering doesn't mean flooding. I don't plan to plant rice.
Marek then grinned cheekily at me.
He was wet from head to toe and I took him by the arm and pulled him into the house. He was barefoot and his feets were dirty black. I led him upstairs to the bathroom where I took off his shorts and T-shirt and put him into the shower. I scrubbed his dirty feet with the brush and could hardly wait to spank him. I dried him off a bit and went to his room where I gave him a good spanking. First with my hand and then I spanked him with the brush paddle. He screamed and shrieked up to the peak and snot and lots of tears flowed freely. It's really amazing how they consistently earn a spanking every week, at least.
At dinner, I immediately noticed how grumpy Marek was. Of course it was very uncomfortable to sit, but when I brought him a pillow he was quiet for a moment and then he started grumbling, squirming and whining again. Strict mummy. A warning, one look and Marek had the message.
When we finished eating I led him straight into the living room, constantly pleading, promising and saying no-no-no siren. Shorts off and I gave him another portion with my hand on his red bottom. After he had calmed down a bit, I cuddled him and told him to brush his teeth and go to bed.
Twenty minutes later I went to his room, comforted him a little and then he soon fell asleep. Maybe the follow-up spanking wasn't necessary and too much, but Marek challenged me directly with his behaviour.
Was I too strict with the follow-up spanking?
