Oh yes, once that spanking is announced, then they are willing to do what Mommy says and do it immediately, like they should have done originally. But as we have agreed, it is too late at that point. It is time to spank.

What I have always done is bump their bedtime by a couple of hours for the sleepovers. So when their bedtime was earlier when they were younger, it wasn't midnight for sleepovers. But I completely understand where you are coming from in not wanting to stay up any later yourself. Midnight is tough for me, as well, as I am an early riser. And it was the latest the kids were able to stay up for sleepovers, no matter what their bedtime became. It will be the same for Andy when his bedtime eventually is raised.

I can so relate to the boys sleeping on their tummy, bare bottom up in the air. After I got ready for bed, I went downstairs and checked on them and they were already out like a light. On top of their sleeping bags, laying on their tummies, bare bottoms pointing straight up in the air. So adorable. :)

Mary, it's been much the same here. Where I haven't spanked during just about every sleepover, it certainly has happened a lot more times than it hasn't. I agree, it does sound like Tommy is due. It is somewhat similar to the situation I had with Derek, where he had not been here for awhile and it had been 3 months since I last spanked him. He was due as well and we all know how that came to pass. Please let us know how the sleepover goes.
