Like any boy, my son Jake now 14 would always tried to talk his way out of a spanking when he deserved one. The summer he was 11, my niece Katie 7 was spending a few days with us and a little battle erupted over the TV remote and as I told them to stop their nonsense, Jake gave a little shove. Katie was not hurt physically, but she had always looked up to Jake as a big brother and was emotionally impacted.

Jake I could tell immediately felt two feet tall and apologized profusely to Katie. Then he started to pull his pants down telling me he expected to be spanked. I was shocked and yet proud of him, so I fetched my hairbrush and gave him a firm, but lighter spanking than usual, enough to redden his bare bottom.
