Oh how I have always disliked hearing "I forgot" yet they can remember entire lines from movies or how to play their games and remember things they want to.

Over the years with my boys as well as Zach, Tommy and Mason I have many times witnessed, their ‘selective deafness’ ‘selective laziness’ and when asking them “why did you do/say/didn't do/say that? ” And or “What were you thinking?” Then it would infuriate me when I heard or still hear, “I didn't hear you” when I know perfectly well they did, or ”I don't know" “I forgot/ I forget”. And their answer can be accompanied with an indifferent shoulder shrug or at times just the shoulder shrug, when I see and hear that, I can’t wait to spank.
