Some kids already start screaming and crying loudly when a spanking is announced. I've never liked that and have more or less told my kids not to do that. If they are sad, roll a few tears, sniffle, and whine a bit ruefully, I understand and that's fine.
While they're getting spanked, they can bawl and cry as loud as they want and need to. That's important, too.
But when their pants aren't even off yet and they haven't gotten a single swat, I think loud bawling is completely over the top. It just upsets me.
It is for me an attempt to gain sympathy and a kind of manipulation so that the spanking is not too long and thorough.
How do you think about that?
Do your children scream, bawl, shriek extra loudly before the spanking has even started?
