Ivana,

Screaming before a spanking is something that rarely happens here, but it can, depending on the situation and age of the child. Hard crying is something that has happened quite a bit more often.

With some of the real little ones (3-5 yrs old), they have at times gotten really upset when I have announced I am going to give them a spanking and have started crying really hard to the point of screaming.

There have been times when I have given swats prior to a spanking. Like give an immediate 4-6 hard swats and then pull them over to the couch to bare them for their spanking. Or if we are a good distance from where I plan to spank, I have done the spank-walk (or carry them under my arm and swat) to where I will spank them. In those instances, those pre-spanking swats, or spank-walks, will get the child screaming.

But for most spankings, screaming beforehand is something that happens rarely overall. Hard crying can happen quite a bit more, though. I've had even older children start to bawl hard and loudly when I've announced a spanking.

The same thing will happen during the drive home and they know they are going to be spanked. If the children act up away from home, I am one to usually take care of it right then, like in the restroom, dressing room or at church.

But if I have to spank the children away from home, I will often administer a follow-up spanking (most often only with my hand) once we get home, as well. During the drive home, along with begging and pleading desperately not to be spanked again, the children are almost always crying hard and bawling loudly, also (while I scold them). And that includes children even in their early (sometimes mid) teens bawling and sobbing hard, as well.

Does any of it bother me? Not at all. The hard bawling, and even the screaming, is just the result of a scared child knowing they are going to get a hard spanking. And I am fine with that. It also lets me know that my spankings are affecting them how they should be, as they really fear and want to avoid them, and I feel that is a good thing.
