Margaret,

Good for your husband in administering those spankings, they were so well needed. I think everyone reading this will agree that once it headed down this route, it was only going to end with a proper spanking for each of them. I have been in that situation with the children too many times to count. And nothing clears the air, and resets their behavior, better than a good, sound spanking.

Margaret, where I completely understand where you cannot spank him with how the foster system is, I don't think it's a bad thing Theo saw the spankings. Unless it is something that conflicts with the foster system's rules. But spankings have always been a loving part in raising your children and I think it could be a good thing Theo sees that, especially not knowing how this will turn out in the future. I am guessing if you did end up adopting him, spankings would be on the table and receiving them would be yet another thing reaffirming your love for him and would make it even more clear to him that he would be part of the family. But of course that isn't here or now and that's just what I can see from here.

As for your new niece and nephew, these first two spankings could have just been because it had been a bit for both of them and they were due. But I agree, if they keep it up, it will be a long 4 weeks, with plenty of lap time. Did their mother say how often she needs to spank them in general?
