Margaret,

I agree with how you and your husband are handling it with your newer arrivals, as well as with Theo. I understand there is newer information with Theo now, as well, with Social Services, and I will comment on that thread.

But I feel if he becomes part of this family, which in many respects he already is going down that route, he understands how everything happens. He may not be able to be spanked now, but at the least he can understand what can, and will, happen with him later on.

With your newer arrivals of your niece and nephew, it sounds like their discipline is pretty consistent at home. Of course I would not change that, and would spank as often as they need it, even if it does end up being more often. Which I know both you and your husband will not hesitate to do so when it becomes necessary.
