My 17 yr old son Bobby and his friends thought it would be fun to jump off the roof on to the trampoline to see how high they could go.
I was in the kitchen doing some ironing when I heard a lot of shouting outside. I looked out the window and notice the trampoline had been moved closed to the house and his friends were all standing around it. I walked outside and saw Bobby on the roof getting ready to jump. I shouted up to him and said, Robert Michael, don't you dare jump from there. He jumped anyway, and thankfully he did not get hurt. He jumped off the trampoline, and I grabbed hold of him and swatted his cloth bottom and told him to get inside. I told his friends all to go home.
Once inside, I had him go with me to the living room, where I scolded him and had him remove his shorts and underwear.
Once over my knee I hand spanked him until my hand was getting sore and then grabbed the paddle and really blistered his bare bottom and thighs. He came off my knees bawling and he went straight to the corner. Once his corner time was up, he got his clothes back on and sat down so we could talk. He said it was a dare from all his friends and he did not want to be called a chicken. I told him that he was lucky he did not get hurt, and that he was old enough to know better. After our talk was over, he hugged and he went to his room to rub his sore bottom. I do not think Bobby will be doing much dare devil thinks at least for a while.
