Oh yes, the kids have to cry doing a spanking. And to the point of really crying hard. There were times growing up that they would cry before the event began. And the spanking will always end with a red bottom.

Crying afterwards is expected & allowed. Some of the best bonding moments are after a spanking, when the child is sobbing into your shoulder or on just sitting tenderly on your lap.
