Mary, I thought their mother was being too hard on them. She had spanked them both the previous day for fighting. I also suspect that one of the teachers involved is a 'drama queen'. I have had a run in with her before with Hugh a few years back. In retrospect, I was wrong & I have since said that to their mother.

Yes, we are strict. with school. The most important thing is that the child tries their hardest. But not handing in papers is just laziness. Surely they know, we would find out no? And the excuse they forgot was just a lie.

Yeah what Hugh did was just stupid. he wasn't the only one there at the beach & the foreshore. I am also upset that the people in this area, some of them anyway, just do not get the seriousness of this strain. There were countless others doing the same thing. It just makes me mad. I know Australia last year had a great response to Covid & the people seem to think all will be good again. It is the Aussie way to say 'all will be good'. Yeah, but at what cost Mary? oh dear, I am ranting again. lol They should just close down the eastern beaches & bring these people to their senses. It is ok to exercise, to go for a walk, but not next to strangers.

I am truly glad that the summer is going well there & Covid is under control. Ah, the weather can't always be good. But it doesn't help kids behaviours or their butts. lol
