That is wonderful that at 15 your daughter recognized the benefits spankings and that they work. That seems very mature for 15 years of age! I am sure she did and does hate the spankings at the time, but it is great that she sees the big picture.
I don't think my boys get it yet, as far as understanding the benefits of spankings or being thankful for them. My oldest is 15 now and he still shows no sign of being grateful for them. I am really hoping that in years to come they will both realize how the discipline has helped them make the right decisions. I firmly believe they both know that the spankings are given out of love, but not sure they see the whole picture yet!
Do you see any sign that your daughter may be able to spank before being a mom, such as when babysitting and such? Would you be in favor of her experiencing being on the giving side? I think it is great that you have had her help by holding her brothers legs, which gives her some exposure to giving spankings.
