Oh, that would be great! Please keep us updated in regards to that potential engagement.
Laura (21) also excited about going back, but a bit nervous with the talk of the Delta variant. But I know she really wants to get back to some sort of normal for schooling, last year was difficult for her (as it was for everyone) and she really enjoys school a lot. As well as misses her friends from school.
She behaved herself overall in the summer. There were a few times I had to scold her, and one time I gave her a handful of hard swats, but no spankings were needed. She came close when I swatted her, but I haven't had to turn her over my lap since she was 17 1/2. Over 4 years now. That said, she knows the option still remains while she is at school and I made it very clear to her, when she received the swats this summer, that she was coming very close to going over my knee. It was definitely a wake-up call for her and she assured me she would stop and help out.
She began giving me backtalk and attitude when I told her she couldn't go see her boyfriend right now as I needed her help around the house and she could go see Matt (her boyfriend when she was finished). And that wasn't good enough for her...at first. At least until the swats came and the spanking warning.
That was over a month ago and I haven't had any issues with her since.
