Reading the posts on corner time, I was struck by one mom saying she had corner time between the hand and implement. A few questions came to mind. 1- does use of corner time depend on how much time moms have to monitor the one in the corner to, for example enforce the “no rubbing” rule? 2- why no rubbing anyway? S/he has been spanked, probably cried, why enforce a rule like that? what is the penalty for rubbing, another spanking, or just a swat or two? 3- for the mom who said she used corner time between the hand and implement, how much time passes between stage one and two. 4- Finally, my elndless curiosity and limited experience has me ask if those who use hand and implement both, does anyone uses the implement first, then the hand.
Apologize for all the questions, but it seems the more moms contribute, the more questions pop into my brain. I wasn’t spanked past toddlerhood, so the experiences talked about here are foreign to me.
