I am going to agree with Kate, "This is quite the challenge. Too difficult to give accurate figures so I will make some rough estimates and give some observations."
I think when my boys were preteen there spanking were mostly due the mouthing off, not cleaning their rooms how and when told, video game fighting, trouble at school, safety issues, swearing and the likes.
In their teen years I'll steal a term from Candace it's their 'teenness' getting them in trouble and spanked. It's their defiance, disrespectful backtalk and sass from both boys, both are a spankable offenses here. Being disrespectful to any adult and they will find themselves over my lap. Swearing, chores not being done when warned, late for curfew.
Steven and Aaron in their teens it's been their continued disrespectful backtalk and sass along with laziness around the house, not doing what they were asked, then told to do, then add attitude, snarky behavior, all recipes for a trip over my lap.
I had to spank for school related behavior and grades quite a bit in grades 1-8, but not in High school, but did need to spank for virtual school learning during lockdown, but I atribute that to the lock down.
