As the years went by, I would agree and acknowledge you are 100% correct. Every single one of the last spankings my son received was due to his inability to simply not talk his way into a blistered bottom. The original offense certainly had him, as one mom here often said "on thin ice", but way too often he had to say "whatever" or something similar. This Mommandant was not tolerating any of that disrespect.
