Yes, Jan deserved his spanking and just was with you and Sarah once Jan’s age I waited to spank my son after dinner. My daughter hasn’t been spanked for “table manners” or doing saying something that earned her a span king at the table since she was 8 nor 9. My son still has but not since last year.

They eat what I serve, do infractions of my rules warrant spankings? Yes. No meals in front of TV for example, unless some scheduled school and/or sporting event means his or her absence. It gives the family time together to share experiences of their day, and mostly is a congenial affair. S I said when they were younger there were times I had to put a sulky son or daughter over my knee while we are at the table and I would do as Sarah, turning their chair around, but rarely. No phones at the table is probably our significant modern day addition to usual rules of courtesy and hygiene is important and again my son is the one who I have to be concerned with that.
